Mundaring Fundraiser
On the 12th July about 50 4WD’s met in Midland for a fundraiser, organised by Air down 4×4 and Perth Girls 4×4. Raffle tickets were sold, along with various other items to raise money for Steve and Lynne, who had their 80 series Landcruiser stolen on the day they were due to leave for their lap of Australia. The saddest part of the story though, was Steve has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and has been given 6 – 24 months to live. To get hit with that, and then have your pride and joy stolen on the day that you are due to depart is heart wrenching. 4WD Action and a heap of other 4WD companies have done an awesome job of sorting them out with a replacement 80 series, and people all over Australia have been offering help.
The turn out was incredible, and everyone had a ball on the Mundaring Powerlines Track. Over $1100 was raised, which has since been sent to Steve and Lynne. A massive thanks to Air down and Perth Girls 4×4 for organising the event, and to everyone who came and made it such a great day. A huge thanks also to the sponsors – WA Fire Protection, Auto One Midland, Perth 4×4 Girls, Air Down 4×4 Adventures and Close Encounters Photography; great work guys! Below are some of the photos I took – enjoy, and don’t forget to share and leave a comment!

Cheers mate. Yeah, it was a great day. Very happy for how things have turned out for Steve and Lynne, considering the situation!
Excellent picture mate, some awesome trucks there. And all for a good cause! I reckon Steve and Lynne will have a happy and comfortable trip thanks to the whole 4wding community.
