Camping stores in Perth; where’s the best place to go?
We are lucky enough to live in a city where camping options are abundant in almost every direction. Camping is one of the best ways to get out and see what Australia really has to offer, and it has the benefit of being quite cheap in the process.
Camping can be uncomfortable if you aren’t well prepared, or you have the wrong gear. However, if you get well set up, you’ll see some amazing places and make some of the best memories of a lifetime.
Saving money on Camping Gear
Lately I’ve been inclined to shop online, or at least to check prices. It seems that as businesses increase their online presence prices are more competitive. The perfect example of this is Snowys, who have two stores over East and ship Australia wide. Their pricing, expertise and service is ten fold better than any other camping store I’ve found in Perth
I’ve also found that by looking at second hand camping gear you can save a bucket load of money. For example, I picked up an Oztent with all the extras for $1000 a few months ago that had been used twice. In the stores, even with a discount it would have been over $1700. Gumtree is a great place to start for second hand items.
Camping Stores Perth
There are plenty of good quality camping shops in Perth, and rather than having to search for them all I have made a list. If you know of any that are missing, just leave a comment below and I will update it!

If I’ve missed any other Camping Stores, let me know and I’ll add them
Hey guys,
Sorry to hear you lost your keg. I’ve never seen them over here, but they look pretty interesting. I’ve read some brewing places, or kayak/canoeing places might have something similar otherwise you’ll have to get another one!
All the best
Aaron
Good day!
We are making an overlanding trip in Australia (and eventually via Asia back to the Netherlands). Our car is currently stored in Melbourne. We are in the Netherlands now; mid August we will fly back to Australia. The plan is to drive via Perth to Darwin. During the first part of our Australia trip we lost our waterproof keg (we use it as a washing machine). It is the 15.4 l model as shown on this site:https://www.canyonzone.com/a-30313442/kegs/curver-waterproof-keg/. We seen one in a shop in Alice Springs (before we lost it), but not in other camping gear stores.
Do you know if any of the stores you list on your site sells such a keg? If not we will have to bring one from the Netherlands.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Margriet & Jan
